Spring is in the air and we feel its time to take our drawing classes outdoors! For all you spontaneous types, we've decided to trial an outdoor drawing workshop out on Hampstead Heath this Sunday afternoon - 26th March.
Who knows - this might be the perfect opportunity to bring yout mum along and spend some time drawing out in the fresh air.
Drawing is for everyone - don't be shy if you think you can't draw. We want to show you that everyone can draw and have fun in the process!
The weather is set to be good - but we will still head out if there is a bit of rain - wrap up warm!
What's the plan?
1.30pm - Meet at Karma Bread Bakery
(we highly recommend getting a bite to eat there first/ after!)
13 S End Rd, Hampstead, London NW3 2PT
1.45 to 2pm
All walk up together onto the Heath
2 to 4pm
We'll do a short meditation out in the elements to ground ourselves and focus on the present moment.
Anne-Laure will lead you through a series of drawing exercises and some readings on the themes covering drawing in nature, mindfulness and playful creative exploration.
You'll then have time to explore an area of the heath and do your own drawing. Anne-Laure will be there to guide you if you need a helping hand.
We will slowly head back down to the bakery to share our experience of the day as well as the drawings over a hot drink and a pastry (drinks/ food not included).
What is included:
We will provide a drawing board, paper and simple drawing materials - feel free to bring your own too.
What you should bring:
Warm clothes/ waterproof, something waterproof to sit on (could just be a plastic bag), a smile and open mind.
This event is free, although donations are very welcome if you enjoy the day! At the end we'd also love to ask you to fill in a short feedback form so that we can gage interest for future events.
We really look forward to seeing you on Sunday - it wil be fun - whatever the weather!
